Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergejs Dandijs (ranked 6762 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Samir (ranked 3363 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dandijs forces Samir back against the cage and clinches.
Dandijs tries to break free but Samir pushes him back against the cage.
Samir looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Samir makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Samir is trying to push Dandijs away but Dandijs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Samir prevents the takedown attempt.

Dandijs fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Samir is trying to break the clinch but Dandijs has him pressed against the cage.
Samir digs a right hand underneath Dandijs's ribcage. Dandijs let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dandijs tries to score a body lock takedown but Samir shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergejs Dandijs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Samir throws a right and a left that Dandijs avoids nicely.
Dandijs was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nice uppercut lands for Samir. That snapped Dandijs's head back.
Samir throws an overhand right that lands on Dandijs's shoulder, as Dandijs tries to avoid the shot.
Samir connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dandijs is rocked!
Samir ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Dandijs's jaw. Dandijs's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Samir does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mohammed Samir!
