Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ledru (ranked 4081 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Bastard (ranked 3975 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Ledru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ledru looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bastard has control of an arm but Ledru manages to advance to Bastard's back!
Ledru somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Ledru throws a series of strikes and Bastard wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
Ledru thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Bastard taking shots to the head.
It looks like Daniel Bastard has been cut.
Ledru throwing strikes but Bastard uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bastard blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ledru.
Bastard has hold of Ledru's hands but Ledru slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ledru throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ledru missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ledru thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bastard's head.

Bastard holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Ledru throws a strike but Bastard avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Ledru throws a strike but Bastard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bastard stays in close to Ledru's body and controls the position.
Ledru trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Bastard avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bastard tries to free his leg and advance position but Ledru is retaining full guard.

Bastard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ledru tries to bench press Bastard off him but Bastard keeps the position.
Ledru throws a few strikes from the bottom but Bastard takes advantage and mounts!

Ledru wants to hold on but Bastard pushes him away.

Ledru swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bastard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ledru was covering up waiting for the punch and Bastard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ledru escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bastard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ledru looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bastard puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ledru is trying to get back to full guard.
Ledru regains full guard. Nicely done.

Ledru has an active guard here but Bastard has managed to pass into half guard.
Bastard takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ledru is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ledru won't allow Bastard to pass to mount.
Ledru is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bastard pulls his head out easily.
Bastard is taking a breather. Ledru says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ledru gets back to full guard.
Ledru wants to improve his position but instead Bastard has moved into half guard.

Ledru looking for submissions off his back.
Ledru trying to hold on to Bastard's head to control him but Bastard postures up.

Bastard passes Ledru's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bastard takes a little break here. Ledru wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bastard manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ledru on his heels. He'll look to pass Ledru's guard now, I'm sure.
Ledru working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bastard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bastard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ledru throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bastard escapes and throws Ledru's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ledru is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bastard is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Daniel Bastard has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bastard just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

I've got Bastard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
