The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryokale tries to keep at a distance but Lavendar has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lavendar is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ryokale wants the takedown. Lavendar is fighting it off but Ryokale persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lavendar's guard against the cage.

Ryokale is in close to Lavendar's body, working some short punches and elbows.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ryokale working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Ryokale seems content to control.

Ryokale working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lavendar turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ryokale off and cradles Lavendar's limp body as Ryokale celebrates with his corner.
