Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tek Dog (ranked 4401 p4p, 367 weight class) and Kristof Kijowsky (ranked 4467 p4p, 371 weight class). Kristof Kijowsky is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog clinches up against the cage. Dog breaks the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dog or perhaps it was just good defense by Kijowsky, which made it look bad. Dog misses with a takedown attempt - Kijowsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kijowsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Dog sprawls well. He's pushed Kijowsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kijowsky fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dog looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dog slips a jab and a cross from Kijowsky.
As Kijowsky looks to move away, Dog throws a big counter combo but Kijowsky just gets out of the way. Kijowsky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kijowsky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kijowsky unleashes a big counter combination but Dog bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dog on the wrong end of a nice hook. Dog uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kijowsky. Dog moves into the clinch. Kijowsky tries to land knees in the clinch but Dog avoids the damage to the body.

Dog could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dog closes the distance and clinches. Dog wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kijowsky is trying to pull guard but Dog turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Dog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looks like Kristof Kijowsky has been cut. Kijowsky shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dog pinned against the cage. Dog gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dog shoots in for a takedown but Kijowsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kijowsky throws out a counter right but Dog avoids it with no problem. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kijowsky dives in for a single leg takedown but Dog sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dog misses with a wild combination.
Kijowsky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dog defends well and Kijowsky ends up having to push Dog into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kijowsky goes for a double leg but Dog avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dog continues to drive forward. Kijowsky tries to bum rush Dog with a series of wild strikes but Dog uses good footwork to avoid the assault. As Kijowsky tries to get set, Dog tries to push him back and clinch up but Kijowsky manages to avoid the attempt. Kijowsky looks winded! Dog defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kijowsky. Dog shoots for a takedown but Kijowsky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kijowsky but Kijowsky pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kijowsky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kijowsky wants it to stay on the feet. Kijowsky with a lazy takedown attempt and Dog counters by moving into the clinch. Dog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dog misses with a takedown attempt - Kijowsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dog with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That was a close round but I would say that Tek Dog will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kristof Kijowsky's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kijowsky wants it to stay on the feet. Kijowsky darts in looking for a takedown but Dog gets double underhooks and turns Kijowsky into the cage. Dog looking to score a takedown here. Dog pulls Kijowsky in to control the position. Dog is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dog controls Kijowsky momentarily but Kijowsky frees himself. Kijowsky stays in close to Dog's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kijowsky won't allow Dog to get back to his feet. Dog is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dog wants to improve his position but instead Kijowsky has moved into half guard.
Dog has one foot on Kijowsky's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Kristof Kijowsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tek Dog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dog looks to score with a jab to the body but Kijowsky is just out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Tek Dog showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dog has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
