Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Distant Thunder (ranked 957 p4p, 59 weight class) and Chan Siam (ranked 3984 p4p, 205 weight class). Thunder comes to the ring accompanied by Who Set The World On Fire. Chan Siam acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Distant Thunder! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Chan Siam! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Thunder moves into the clinch. Siam is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Thunder gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Siam has hold of one of Thunder's legs. Thunder is fighting the takedown attempt but Siam gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Thunder (0) vs (2) Siam Siam pushing down on Thunder's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Thunder trying to control but Siam postures up.
Thunder keeps control of the position for the meantime. Siam content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Thunder is looking to improve his position.

Thunder tries to roll over but Siam keeps him under control. Siam wants to free his trapped foot but Thunder is holding on for dear life with his legs. Thunder trying to hold on to Siam's head to control him but Siam postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Siam avoids the attempt from Thunder to control. Thunder has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Thunder is looking to improve his position but Siam isn't that keen on the idea. Thunder tries to lock up and control but Siam gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Siam wants to control but Thunder has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Thunder keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Siam seems content to control. Thunder is looking to control Siam's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Thunder avoid being mounted? Thunder is trying to get back to full guard. Thunder keeping hold of Siam's head, controlling as best he can. Thunder wants to control but Siam is keeping busy.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Thunder regains full guard. Nicely done. Thunder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Siam trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thunder is trying to keep Siam in close.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Thunder is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Siam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Thunder has Siam pulled in close to control his posture. Thunder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Siam trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Siam forces his way into half guard. Siam is keen to just control but Thunder is a slippery customer. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Siam in particular looking to stall. Siam trying to control the action but Thunder is working from the bottom. Thunder is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Siam is tapping! Great win for Thunder!
