Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akeen Coker (ranked 4 p4p, 2 weight class) and Snot Slurper (ranked 11 p4p, 4 weight class). Slurper has chosen They say that I'm Crazy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Coker misses its intended target.

Coker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - Coker finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Slurper counters with a nice body kick.

Coker throws a hook to the side of Slurper's head but Slurper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A looping hook to the body misses from Slurper. Coker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Coker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Slurper is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Coker.

Snot Slurper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Coker throws out a loose jab but Slurper uses good head movement to avoid it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Coker might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

and Slurper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Coker is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Slurper scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Coker is rocked!
Coker gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Slurper points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Coker wakes up just in time to hear Slurper thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
