Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Impaler!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fortier stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Impaler.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fortier.

Fortier tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Fortier misses with the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An elbow from Fortier crashes against the mat.

You can see the frustration on Impaler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fortier throws an elbow but Impaler slips to the side and avoids it well.

Fortier works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Impaler sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fortier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fortier looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Impaler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Impaler wants to control but Fortier is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fortier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Impaler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Impaler wants to stand and escape but Fortier is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Impaler is rocked!

It looks like Vladimir Impaler has been cut.
Fortier loads up on a big left hand. Impaler felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Fortier looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Impaler can't hide his disappointment, as Fortier celebrates the victory.
