Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brent Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Pulanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulanski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sonic Empire. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brent Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yuri Pulanski! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Pulanski. A big left from Pulanski misses. Pulanski has a takedown stuffed. Pulanski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pulanski can do anything to dispel that myth. Carter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pulanski is trying to control the position but Carter postures up. Pulanski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pulanski lands a decent shot there. Carter passes into half guard. Pulanski wants to get back to full guard but Carter has passed into side control. Pulanski wants to control but Carter is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulanski holds on for dear life, controlling Carter's posture momentarily. Pulanski is bucking up trying to escape but Carter cracks him with another couple of good strikes. A nice elbow there by Carter. Carter pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Carter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carter landing strikes from the mount and Pulanski is in trouble! Carter blocks Pulanski's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Carter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulanski is looking to improve his position but Carter isn't that keen on the idea. Pulanski is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him? Carter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carter postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Pulanski in real trouble here! The ref calls for Pulanski to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
