Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis moves forwards but Nubaka connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nubaka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lewis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nubaka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nubaka gets slowly back to his feet.
Lewis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nubaka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lewis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lewis leaves Nubaka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Lewis misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nubaka wants to pass the guard but Lewis is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nubaka wants to pass the guard but Lewis is keeping the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lewis striking off his back but it's not causing Nubaka any problems.
Lewis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nubaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lewis looking for a guillotine here but Nubaka defends easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Nubaka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lewis as he avoids it easily.

Lewis forces Nubaka back against the cage and clinches.
Nubaka dodges an elbow strike from Lewis.
Nubaka fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nubaka has clasped his hands together around Lewis's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Nubaka is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lewis is looking to regain half guard here but Nubaka keeps moving and retains side control.
Nubaka throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Nubaka thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lewis if he has to take too many more of those.

Nubaka sets himself, and Lewis steps forward looking for the clinch! Nubaka avoids it this time.
Nubaka moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.
Nubaka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lewis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nubaka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lewis pinned against the cage. Lewis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lewis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Let's hope that Lewis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Michael Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
