Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Izquierdo (ranked 1908 p4p, 230 weight class) and Jese Gonzales (ranked 3623 p4p, 387 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Izquierdo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jese Gonzales !
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izquierdo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Jese Gonzales has been cut.
No luck for Gonzales with that takedown attempt.
Izquierdo tries to sprawl but Gonzales drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Izquierdo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Izquierdo wants to control but Gonzales is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Izquierdo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Izquierdo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Izquierdo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gonzales 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gonzales 's back!
Izquierdo has one arm under Gonzales 's neck. Gonzales is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Izquierdo manages to get his arm free though and Gonzales is in a world of trouble! Izquierdo sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Gonzales turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ivan Izquierdo!
Our winner, Ivan Izquierdo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
