Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Happier Happiest (ranked 2746 p4p, 318 weight class) and Steven Steele (ranked 2433 p4p, 282 weight class). Happiest comes to the cage accompanied by Ken Dodd & the Diddy Men: Happiness. Steele has chosen Bloody Sunday as his entrance music. Steven Steele is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven Steele! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Happiest fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. We've been told by Happiest's head coaches at Power Plant MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Steele moves into the clinch. Steele comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Happier Happiest has been cut. Happiest is trying to break the clinch but Steele is controlling him. Steele lands an elbow that stopped Happiest in his tracks for a moment. Happiest keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Happiest pushes Steele off looking to stand but Steele dives back in and keeps control.

Happiest is pressing down on Steele's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Steele won't allow Happiest to get back to his feet. Steele gets to his feet. Happiest looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Steele has Happiest up against the cage in a clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice glancing elbow lands by Steele.
Happier Happiest's cut is getting worse. Steele has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Happiest avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Steele lands an elbow inside that Happiest shrugs off. Steele lands a nice elbow. Steele comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Steele lands a nice elbow. After a battle for position, Steele asserts his dominance and retains side control. Happiest sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Happiest is trying to stand up here but Steele is controlling him well.

Good standup being displayed there by Happiest as he connects with a hook. Steele drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Happiest is looking for a sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Steele dominated that round. The cut man is working on Happier Happiest's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Happiest is fighting off a takedown attempt but Steele is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Happiest to the mat. Happiest regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Steele has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Happiest is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steele is controlling him. Steele stands and steps away. Happiest gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Happiest bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Steele's head backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Steele tries to close the distance and clinch up but Happiest swats him away and circles back towards the center. Happiest connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Steele's hands. A shot to the liver by Happiest. Beautiful body shot. Steele slips a jab from Happiest. Steele avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Happiest connects with a right hand. Steele shakes it off. Happiest misses with the combination.
Steele drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Happiest defends it well. Steele throws the kick towards the body but Happiest avoids it. Steele fails in his attempt to clinch. Steele moves into the clinch. Steele drops down looking for an ankle pick but Happiest pulls his leg out and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steele lands an elbow inside that Happiest shrugs off. The referee calls the doctor in to look at Happier Happiest's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
