Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Thiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Caine is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Caine!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiago shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Caine pinned against the cage. Caine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thiago fails with the takedown.
Thiago looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Caine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Thiago is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Caine is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Caine has escaped and now he's on top!
Thiago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Caine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Caine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Caine's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Caine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thiago swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marcus Caine just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thiago shoots in and drives through. Caine sprawls well.

Thiago has his foot on Caine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Caine works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caine slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Let's hope that Caine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee asks Caine politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Caine prefers to stall for the moment though.

Thiago has his feet on Caine's thighs here. He's pushed Caine off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Caine screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
