Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kandal Feynman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregory Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a head kick that misses.
Feynman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Feynman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peterson pinned against the cage. Peterson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Peterson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Feynman wants to stand but Peterson is controlling the position.
Peterson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peterson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Feynman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peterson but Peterson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peterson connects with an inside leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Peterson, right into the meat.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown but Feynman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Peterson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Peterson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Feynman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peterson is in Feynman's guard.

Peterson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peterson controls the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Feynman takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Peterson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Feynman will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Peterson stands up and beckons Feynman to his feet.
Peterson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Peterson misses with a wild combination.
It looked like Feynman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peterson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Feynman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Peterson somewhat.
Feynman swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kandal Feynman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gregory Peterson.

Peterson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Feynman did well to prevent Peterson getting side control.
Peterson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Feynman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peterson on the ground.

Peterson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Feynman to get to his feet.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Peterson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Feynman wants to get back to his feet but Peterson is dominant here and he's now got Feynman's back!

Peterson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Feynman is defending well but eventually Peterson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Feynman has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gregory Peterson!
