Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emyr Lane (ranked 2488 p4p, 295 weight class) and Daniel Pawlik (ranked 2538 p4p, 299 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Emyr Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Pawlik! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lane uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pawlik. Lane was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Pawlik throws a body shot but no joy. Lane ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pawlik is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pawlik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lane swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lane feints a jab promting Pawlik to slip. Lane then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pawlik slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Daniel Pawlik has been cut. Lane scores with a jab to the body. Lane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pawlik's head backwards. Pawlik rushes Lane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pawlik is working for takedown but Lane is calmly controlling the position for now. Nice body punch from Lane. Lane lands a body shot. Pawlik looks winded! Pawlik has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lane regains guard immediately. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pawlik being controlled here momentarily. Lane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pawlik tries to free his leg and advance position but Lane is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lane managing to control the position. Lane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pawlik trying to control the position from guard on top but Lane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lane has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Pawlik sitting in guard here, content to control. Lane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Pawlik slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pawlik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lane throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pawlik is rocked! Pawlik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lane counters with a nice uppercut. Pawlik is still on wobbly legs! Can Lane finish him? Emyr Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Pawlik. Pawlik takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lane lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Pawlik up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Lane from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Pawlik's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Emyr Lane!
