Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 534 p4p, 21 weight class) and Brandon Vee (ranked 431 p4p, 14 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Song 2 blaring out of the sound system. Vee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Da Mystery of Chessboxin by Wu-Tang Clan kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Brandon Vee! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vee lands with a thumping leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vee. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet. Smith connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Brandon Vee has been cut. Vee misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming. Smith throws a quick counter kick to the body but Vee avoids it. Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vee swings and misses with a shot to the body and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Vee misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming. Smith scores with a jab to the head.
We've been informed that Vee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vee. Smith sends Vee crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Smith is motioning to the referee to let Vee up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vee ducks under a wild hook from Smith. A solid body kick from Smith. Smith slips under a jab from Vee. Smith looks to land a left hand but Vee moved out of range nicely. Vee has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Smith. Vee blocks a head kick by Smith.
Vee moves into range and connects with a jab. Smith lands a big head kick that sends Vee tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Vee back to his feet - he wants the finish! Vee swings widly with a right hand
and Smith scores with a counter punch that sends Vee to the canvas! Smith smells blood - he's punishing Vee with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Vee has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Smith! John Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. The defeated Brandon Vee had this to say: 'I didn't lose that fight in my mind. True victory is to give all of yourself, without regret. '.
