The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Smith.
A head kick misses from Smith.
Francis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
Francis is looking to counter punch.
A jab from Smith misses.
Francis misses with a looping right.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith throws out a powerful jab.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Francis down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Francis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Yohan Francis has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Francis moves out of range of the body kick.
It looked like Francis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Francis swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Smith throws a leg kick which misses Francis's front leg but catches the back leg as Francis tries to avoid it.
Francis missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A big left from Smith misses.
Smith throws a hook but Francis avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Francis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith moves into range and connects with a jab.
and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Francis! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Smith!
