Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Vergys (ranked 3183 p4p, 168 weight class) and Bradley Betts (ranked 3564 p4p, 186 weight class). Betts is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No Game - Token. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Betts bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vergys is looking for a sweep.
Betts wants to control but Vergys is keeping him busy.
Vergys is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Betts's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Betts not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Vergys looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Betts throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Betts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vergys. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vergys regains full guard. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Betts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Vergys doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

We've been hearing good reports from Vergys's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Vergys is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Betts defends well.

Vergys has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Betts can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
