Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Badiss Kassib (ranked 2541 p4p, 243 weight class) and Thimothy Weenus (ranked 1780 p4p, 196 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Badiss Kassib!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thimothy Weenus!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Kassib misses
and Weenus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kassib throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Weenus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A head kick by Kassib misses
letting Weenus counter with a right hand.
Kassib misses with a series of wild punches.
Weenus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Weenus throws out a counter right but Kassib avoids it with no problem.
Weenus lands a really nice looking cross but Kassib seems unphased.
Kassib missing with a left hand there. Weenus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kassib goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kassib misses with an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kassib throws a combination that misses
and Weenus counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kassib thinking.
Kassib takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kassib lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kassib misses with a left hand
and Weenus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kassib works over Weenus's head and body with a nice combination.
Kassib is looking to clinch.
Kassib clinches with his opponent.
Kassib throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Weenus blocks it with crossed arms.
Kassib using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Weenus has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kassib pushes off an throws an elbow but Weenus leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kassib with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Weenus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Badiss Kassib seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weenus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kassib swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Weenus connects with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kassib throws a left and a right that both miss
and Weenus counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kassib tries a head kick but it misses.
A low kick from Kassib misses
and Weenus counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kassib is rocked!
Kassib throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Weenus counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Kassib has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Thimothy Weenus!
A very excited looking Thimothy Weenus made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
