The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hooker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Texas at a distance.
Hooker moves out of range as Texas strikes.
Hooker scores with a nice right hand.
Texas closes the distance and clinches up with Hooker, looking for a takedown. Texas pushes Hooker against the cage but Hooker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Texas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Texas has been working on his boxing with his coaches at BAK training in the buildup to the fight.
Texas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Texas on the wrong end of a nice hook.

It looks like Ryan Texas has been cut.

Hooker moves into the clinch successfully.
Hooker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Texas backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Texas is rocked!
Hooker misses with the head strike.
Oh Texas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hooker misses with a hook from the clinch.
Texas seems to have got his legs back now.
Hooker is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Hooker lands a body punch.
Texas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hooker just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hooker lands a body shot in the clinch.
Hooker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Texas backwards.
Hooker is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Texas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hooker smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Texas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hooker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Texas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Texas is breathing heavily.

Hooker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Texas circles away quickly and effectively.
Leon Hooker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hooker instigates a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Hooker.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hooker.
Hooker lands a body punch.
Hooker creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Texas with a big uppercut! Texas tries to clinch up but Hooker pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Texas to the mat! Texas covers up and Hooker unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
