Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mateus Hugo (ranked 2637 p4p, 306 weight class) and Colby Ortiz (ranked 2451 p4p, 286 weight class). Mateus Hugo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mateus Hugo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colby Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ortiz is looking for the big counter here.

Ortiz tries to counter by closing the distance.
Hugo misses with a takedown attempt - Ortiz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hugo dives in and grabs Ortiz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ortiz pushes down on Hugo's head and hops out.

Ortiz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hugo is controlling him.
Hugo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ortiz wants to stand but Hugo is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hugo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hugo shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hugo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ortiz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hugo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hugo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ortiz on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ortiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ortiz stays in close to Hugo's body and controls the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ortiz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hugo shoots for a takedown but Ortiz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hugo tries to close the distance and clinch but Ortiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hugo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ortiz pinned against the cage. Ortiz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hugo wants to hit a switch here but Ortiz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hugo there!
Ortiz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hugo looks a forlorn figure.


Hugo is rocked!

Ortiz postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hugo badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ortiz around the waist but Ortiz pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ortiz is the winner by TKO! Ortiz jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Colby Ortiz!
Post fight, an emotional Colby Ortiz said '" Donald Trump is the true American hero and I'm his assassin. Tonight I proved that. Get off the tracks when Colby is coming through!! Choo choo mfer!!"'.
