Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Garth Wader (ranked 5816 p4p, 480 weight class) and Stig Statham (ranked 3493 p4p, 367 weight class). Statham has chosen The Chain, Fleetwood Mac as his entrance music. Stig Statham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wader has taken the fight to the clinch.

Statham tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wader smiles and moves away.
Wader closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Statham has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Garth Wader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stig Statham .

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Statham has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wader should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Statham has tightened it up now! Wader should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Stig Statham thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
