Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gentle Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakuraba has chosen Clubfoot as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant stuffs the takedown attempt from Sakuraba. Sakuraba gets slowly back to his feet.

Sakuraba tries to clinch but Giant is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakuraba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Giant does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sakuraba winds up and cracks Giant with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sakuraba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Giant is trying to get back to full guard.
Sakuraba is looking to take a break and control but Giant is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Giant is breathing heavily.
Sakuraba looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sakuraba passes to full mount!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Giant throws a body punch but Sakuraba moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Giant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gentle Giant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sakuraba will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Giant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A telegraphed right hand from Sakuraba misses the target.
Giant looks to land a right hand but Sakuraba moved out of range.
Giant throws the left hand but Sakuraba avoids the punch easily.
Sakuraba moves into the clinch.
Sakuraba ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sakuraba no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sakuraba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Giant tries to stand but Sakuraba is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Giant is desperately trying to improve his position but Sakuraba has a good base and remains in mount.

Sakuraba swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
