Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Sue (ranked 23524 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Dougal (ranked 24406 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Dougal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Sue! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Dougal! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dougal has a takedown stuffed. Dougal fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dougal shoots in and drives through. Sue sprawls well. Sue drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dougal sprawls and moves away. Tom Sue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Dougal. Dougal closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sue did well to prevent Dougal getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dougal throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sue to regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dougal looking to sit in guard and control but Sue gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dougal controlling Sue's posture. Sue trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dougal's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dougal pulls Sue in close to his closed guard and prevents Sue from doing any damage or advancing position. Dougal looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dougal has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Let's hope that Dougal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dougal is looking to sweep but instead, Sue has passed into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sue controlling the action here. Dougal is positioning himself well to prevent Sue advancing to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dougal throws a head kick that misses and Sue counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dougal thinking. Sue pushes Dougal up against the cage in a clinch. Dougal changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sue fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dougal has Sue pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sue manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Dougal is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sue to keep the fight standing. Dougal tries to score a body lock takedown but Sue shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dougal is trying to pull guard but Sue has him pressed against the cage. Sue escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dougal is trying to drag Sue to the mat but Sue just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dougal tries to score a body lock takedown but Sue shows good agility there to stay on his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Sue dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sue forces Dougal back against the cage and clinches. Sue is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dougal can do to turn this around? Dougal drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sue gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dougal gets control of Sue's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dougal will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sue trying to control but Dougal is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dougal trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Sue knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dougal on the ground. Dougal looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sue has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dougal controlling Sue's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dougal wants to sweep but no luck. Dougal is pulling down on Sue's head. It's preventing any offense from Sue, at least for the moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dougal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sue is one step ahead there.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sue rushes Dougal and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sue is pressed up against the cage. Dougal has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sue down to the mat. Sue avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dougal fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Sue was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dougal. Tom Sue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Dougal. Sue rushes Dougal and presses him up against the cage. Dougal tries for a takedown but Sue manages to get underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sue obliges. Sue misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dougal.
Dougal drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sue pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dougal shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sue manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dougal working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dougal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dougal's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dougal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dougal's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Dougal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mick Dougal has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dougal missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dougal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dougal stands up and waves to Sue to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tom Sue will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Dougal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dougal with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dougal scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dougal stalling. Dougal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sue is just riding it out for now. Dougal eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Dougal.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dougal scoring with punches to the head and body. Dougal keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sue's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dougal with a nice head shot there. Oh Sue is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dougal lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Dougal with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dougal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sue seems to have got his legs back now. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dougal's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dougal forces his way into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dougal lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dougal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Dougal. Dougal looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tom Sue is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dougal stalling. Mick Dougal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dougal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sue is just riding it out for now. Dougal eventually gives up the hold.
