Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edrick Jean (ranked 6171 p4p, 514 weight class) and Sasha Tchaikovsky (ranked 5346 p4p, 483 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edrick Jean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sasha Tchaikovsky! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jean drops his hands momentarily and Tchaikovsky takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jean gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tchaikovsky counters with a right hand to the body. Jean blocks a head kick by Tchaikovsky.
Tchaikovsky shoots in looking for a takedown. Jean tries to sprawl out of it but Tchaikovsky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jean manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jean closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tchaikovsky quickly recovers to half guard. Still in half guard, Jean seems content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jean's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jean lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jean trying to control the pace. Jean looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tchaikovsky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tchaikovsky wants to control but Jean is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jean in particular looking to stall. Jean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tchaikovsky wants to control but Jean is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jean is nestled in close to Tchaikovsky, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jean content to control rather than advance. Jean tries to pass to full mount but Tchaikovsky defends it. Jean seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jean scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tchaikovsky wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jean keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tchaikovsky is trying to control but can't.
Jean content to control rather than advance. Tchaikovsky is trying to maintain the position but Jean is very close to passing his half guard. Jean takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jean is taking a breather. Tchaikovsky says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jean slips a nice elbow through Tchaikovsky's hands, connecting with Tchaikovsky's forehead. Jean sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jean has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jean takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jean is thwarting Tchaikovsky's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jean connects with a nice short shot to Tchaikovsky's temple. Tchaikovsky wants to get back to his feet. Tchaikovsky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jean is trying to work for a kimura but Tchaikovsky is defending well.
Jean is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edrick Jean dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tchaikovsky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jean defends well and Tchaikovsky ends up having to push Jean into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tchaikovsky is looking to clinch. Tchaikovsky scores with a one two! Jean had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Tchaikovsky misses with a takedown attempt - Jean sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jean pushes Tchaikovsky up against the cage in a clinch. Jean works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Jean is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Tchaikovsky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jean scoring with some ground and pound. Jean stopping the sweep attempt from Tchaikovsky.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jean controls from within his opponent's guard. Jean lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jean lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tchaikovsky can't keep his opponent in guard - Jean advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jean is trying to work for a kimura but Tchaikovsky is defending well.

Jean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jean passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tchaikovsky! Tchaikovsky is bucking up trying to escape but Jean cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Jean controlling from mount. Tchaikovsky is in a horrible position here. Jean smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jean scoring with strikes but Tchaikovsky is staying in there. Jean fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jean controlling the position easily from mount. Jean is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tchaikovsky to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tchaikovsky shrugs it off. Jean controlling the pace for now. Edrick Jean overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jean lands with some strikes.
Tchaikovsky is rocked! BOOM! Jean connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tchaikovsky is still in real trouble! Can Jean finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jean cracks Tchaikovsky with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
