Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Callaghan (ranked 25192 p4p, 559 weight class) and Haris Siskauskas (ranked 5939 p4p, 521 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Callaghan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Haris Siskauskas!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callaghan misses with a looping right.
Siskauskas just misses with a punch to the body.
Siskauskas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Callaghan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Siskauskas under the eye.
Siskauskas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Haris Siskauskas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Callaghan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callaghan wants it to stay on the feet.
Callaghan misses with a hook. Siskauskas ducked under it nicely.
Callaghan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Siskauskas was well out of range. Poor timing from Callaghan.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Siskauskas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Siskauskas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Callaghan.
Horrible takedown attempt by Siskauskas or perhaps it was just good defense by Callaghan, which made it look bad.
Callaghan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
John Callaghan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haris Siskauskas.

Callaghan lands a jab to Siskauskas's midsection.

Siskauskas closes the distance and clinches.

Callaghan breaks the clinch.
Siskauskas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Callaghan pinned against the cage. Callaghan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Siskauskas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Callaghan tries to avoid it but Siskauskas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Callaghan to the ground. Callaghan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Callaghan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Siskauskas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Siskauskas instigates a clinch.
Siskauskas has had enough of the clinch but Callaghan keeps him there for the moment.
Nice elbow from Siskauskas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Callaghan breaks from the clinch.
A jab from Callaghan misses.

Siskauskas moves into the clinch.
Callaghan looking to throw knees to the head but Siskauskas is blocking nicely.
Siskauskas tries to pull guard but Callaghan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Callaghan manages to break the clinch.
John Callaghan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick misses from Callaghan.
Siskauskas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Siskauskas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Siskauskas gets a clinch.

Callaghan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Callaghan misses with an uppercut.
Siskauskas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Callaghan tries to keep at a distance but Siskauskas has taken the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Siskauskas has had enough of the clinch but Callaghan keeps him there for the moment.
Siskauskas looking to stall.
Callaghan has Siskauskas pressed against the cage, preventing Siskauskas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Siskauskas's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Callaghan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Siskauskas.
Callaghan scores with a nice hook to the head.

Callaghan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Callaghan tries to bum rush Siskauskas with a series of wild strikes but Siskauskas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Callaghan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Siskauskas.
Callaghan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Siskauskas takes one to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Siskauskas has Callaghan up against the cage in a clinch.
Siskauskas is trying to drag Callaghan to the mat but Callaghan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Callaghan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Callaghan misses with a body punch
and Siskauskas counters with a head kick.
Callaghan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Callaghan throws a jab when Siskauskas was well out of range.
Siskauskas misses with a body shot.
A little feinted left hand from Callaghan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Siskauskas moves into range and clinches up with Callaghan.
Siskauskas blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Callaghan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Callaghan dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Siskauskas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Callaghan counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Siskauskas! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Callaghan!
