Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Kenny Dykstra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Red! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dykstra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Red scrambles back to his feet. Red takes a jab right on the kisser.
Red closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dykstra explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! This has been an exciting period of action! Dykstra connects with a looping right hand.
Red tries for a takedown but Dykstra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Red on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Red tries to clinch up. Red tries to clinch but Dykstra moves away and Dykstra counters with a nice uppercut. Red shoots and misses and Red takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Red on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Red shoots in but no luck this time. Kenny Dykstra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Red. A chopping leg kick lands by Dykstra. Red tries to land a leg kick but Dykstra saw it coming and moves away.
Dykstra lands a body shot.
Red fails with the takedown and Dykstra counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Red looks winded!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dykstra cracks Red with a right hand to the side of the head. Red tries for a takedown but Dykstra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dykstra lands a right hook to the body.
Dykstra lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Red falls backwards - clearly groggy! Dykstra dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Dykstra! Kenny Dykstra decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
