Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryohei Horie (ranked 3500 p4p, 365 weight class) and Piotr Przepiorka (ranked 3551 p4p, 367 weight class). Przepiorka comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kękę - Presja kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryohei Horie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Piotr Przepiorka!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horie misses with a combination
and Przepiorka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Przepiorka has hold of one of Horie's legs. Horie is fighting the takedown attempt but Przepiorka gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Przepiorka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Przepiorka's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Przepiorka is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Przepiorka is pushing down on Horie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Horie is fighting to maintain full guard but Przepiorka has managed to sneak the leg through.

Przepiorka is taking a breather. Horie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Przepiorka drops an elbow to the side of Horie's head.
Przepiorka seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Horie tries to roll over but Przepiorka keeps him under control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Przepiorka looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Horie is trying to maintain the position but Przepiorka is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Horie is fighting off a takedown attempt but Przepiorka is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Horie to the mat. Horie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Przepiorka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Przepiorka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Przepiorka passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Przepiorka is staying tight to Horie's torso, preventing him from escaping.
We've been informed that Przepiorka has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Horie takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Przepiorka cracks Horie with a big right hand but Horie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
You can see the frustration on Horie's face as Przepiorka controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Przepiorka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Przepiorka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Horie's guard.
Przepiorka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
