Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willing Ness (ranked 5263 p4p, 251 weight class) and Steel Pulse (ranked 4992 p4p, 244 weight class). Steel Pulse is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Willing Ness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steel Pulse! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ness misses with a series of wild punches.
Ness works over Pulse's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Steel Pulse has been cut. Ness scores with the left hand. Pulse knows he should have avoided that one. Pulse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ness was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulse. Ness went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Ness misses with a straight left. A telegraphed right hand from Ness misses the target. Ness jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ness misses with a hook. Ness misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pulse.
Pulse moves away from the strike by Ness. Pulse tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pulse shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ness is trying to defend but Pulse finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pulse looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Ness is not content to let Pulse control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ness is trying to stand.
Ness keeping control of the position. Pulse perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ness looking for submissions off his back. Ness trying to control here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pulse is keen to just control but Ness is a slippery customer.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ness with a hook. Ness wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Pulse closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ness quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pulse missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pulse stops Ness from getting back to his feet.
Ness is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pulse pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pulse wants to take a breather but Ness is having none of it. Ness desperately trying to maintain half guard. Ness trying to control from the bottom.
Pulse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ness. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulse not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ness is pressing down on Pulse's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ness working a defensive guard here.
Ness manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pulse manages to get himself to full guard.
Pulse working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ness. Pulse is looking to stand up but Ness isn't so interested in that idea. Ness postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pulse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ness, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ness is trying to keep Pulse in close.
Ness has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pulse should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ness has tightened it up now! Pulse should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
