Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spurgu Nator (ranked 1563 p4p, 201 weight class) and Wally Kruschev (ranked 974 p4p, 132 weight class). Kruschev has chosen Pissed Off and Mad About it (Texas Hippie Coalition) as his entrance music. Wally Kruschev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Spurgu Nator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wally Kruschev!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nator displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kruschev.
Kruschev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nator scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kruschev scores with a takedown into Nator's guard.
Nator has his hands on Kruschev's head, controlling the position.
Kruschev is looking to work some ground and pound but Nator has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kruschev looking to sit in guard and control but Nator gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nator trying to control the position from guard on top but Kruschev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kruschev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nator is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kruschev.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nator tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kruschev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kruschev is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nator in particular looking to stall.
Nator's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kruschev manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Nator wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kruschev's closed guard. He's half up but Kruschev has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kruschev pivots and extends the arm, Nator falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kruschev! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wally Kruschev!
Wally Kruschev seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
