Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gvido Linga (ranked 3088 p4p, 0 weight class) and Superfluous Superior (ranked 2728 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gvido Linga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Superfluous Superior! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Superior clinches up against the cage. Superior tries to work over Linga's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Linga fails to pull guard.
Superior is pushing Linga up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Linga letting Superior take a breather here. Superior taking a breather. Superior's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Superior continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Linga is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Superior is defending well. Superior will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Linga up against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Superfluous Superior. Linga shoots in looking for a takedown. Superior tries to sprawl out of it but Linga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Superior manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Superior looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gvido Linga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Linga fails to land the takedown. Superior closes the distance and clinches. Superior has Linga pushed against the cage. Superior has Linga pressed against the cage.
The crowd are getting on Superior's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Superior is trying to trip Linga. He has hold of a leg but Linga is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Superior persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Superior pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Linga is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Linga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Superior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Superior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Linga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Superior forces his way into half guard. Linga is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Superior is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Linga prevents Superior from moving into mount. Superior wants to lay and pray for a moment but Linga keeps working. Superior wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Linga, who protects the arm well. Superior swings around for an armbar but Linga sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Superior's guard. Linga stopping the sweep attempt from Superior. Superior keeping moving, preventing Linga from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Superior isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Linga stacks Superior on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Linga! Superior tries to control but Linga manages to take his back. Superior is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Linga.
Linga tightening his grip on Superior, looking for the choke. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Linga throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Superfluous Superior dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Superior closes the distance and pushes Linga back into the cage. Linga jumps guard but Superior turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Superior is struggling to control the position. Linga goes for a takedown attempt but Superior pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Superior darts in and clinches Linga up against the cage. Linga is trying to pull guard but Superior turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Superior passes easily into side control. Nice work. Linga is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Linga prevents Superior from improving position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Linga tries to buck Superior off but Superior is having none of it. Superior advances nicely into full mount. Superior jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Linga is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Linga and Superior has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Superfluous Superior has got the better of the ground game so far. Superior trying to control the position but Linga is working away. Superior has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Superior is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Linga is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Linga struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Linga stops Superior from passing to mount. Linga misses with an elbow from the bottom. Superior tries to move to mount but Linga blocks the move with his legs. Superior in side control, just content to control the action for now. Linga can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Superior is looking to take a break and control but Linga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Superior working away. Superior looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Superior trying to control the action but Linga is working from the bottom.

Superior wants to take Linga's back but he can't do it this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Superfluous Superior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Superior looking to hit a scissor sweep but Linga is one step ahead there. Linga looking to sit in guard and control but Superior gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Linga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Superior can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Superior slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Linga manages to get back to half guard. Superior is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Linga is looking for a sweep. Superior is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Superior wants to control but Linga is keeping him busy. Superior perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Superior is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Linga has managed to free his arm - good work. Superior uses his free foot to push down on Linga's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Linga. Superfluous Superior is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Superior is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Linga is surviving well by controlling Superior's body position as best he can. Superior wants to control the pace but Linga is squirming around nicely. Superior controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Superior wants to take Linga's back but he can't do it this time. Gvido Linga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Superior controlling the pace for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Superfluous Superior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Superior has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Superfluous Superior! Superfluous Superior decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
