Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamlet Loveridge (ranked 4012 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maybe Black Belt (ranked 3644 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hamlet Loveridge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maybe Black Belt! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black Belt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Loveridge tries to counter with a takedown but Black Belt is quick to defend against it. Black Belt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Loveridge pinned against the cage. Loveridge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Loveridge went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Black Belt fails with a takedown attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Loveridge misses its target. Loveridge stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Loveridge wants it to stay on the feet. Hamlet Loveridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maybe Black Belt. Loveridge misses with the combination.

and Loveridge counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Maybe Black Belt has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black Belt misses with a takedown and Loveridge counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Black Belt throws a lazy uppercut
letting Loveridge counter with a right hand. Maybe Black Belt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black Belt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Black Belt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loveridge wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Black Belt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. My spies in Island Sparring inform me that Black Belt has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Black Belt pushing down on Loveridge's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Loveridge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Black Belt on the ground. Loveridge won't allow Black Belt to pass to mount. Black Belt is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Loveridge has managed to free his arm - good work. Black Belt trying to control the pace. Black Belt wants to pass the guard but Loveridge is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Black Belt is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Loveridge! Black Belt forces the positional change into back control. Black Belt has his arm under Loveridge's chin here. Game over son! Black Belt squeezes tightly and Loveridge is forced to tap out!
