Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood shoots in but no luck this time.
Balboa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hood's guard.
Hood looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hood can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Balboa controls the pace.
Balboa trying to control but Hood is working from the bottom.
Hood has his foot on Balboa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Balboa works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hood is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Balboa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hood looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Balboa has picked Hood up and slammed him! Hood can't keep hold of the triangle and Balboa manages to pass to side control!

Balboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hood keeps working.

Balboa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hood crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Balboa - the referee stops the clock and Hood gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Balboa. Hood manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Balboa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hood tries to roll over but Balboa keeps him under control.

Balboa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Balboa slips a nice elbow through Hood's hands, connecting with Hood's forehead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hood is looking for a sweep. Balboa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hood gets back to full guard.
Balboa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hood isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Balboa stacks Hood on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Balboa!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Balboa is looking to take a break and control but Hood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hood manages to work his way to half guard, despite Balboa's best efforts.

Balboa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Balboa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Balboa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Balboa's back!
Hood is trying to stick to Balboa's back but Balboa is turning into Hood. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hood's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Balboa.
