22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gennady Mikhasevich! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Mikhasevich tenderised Kuznetsov's leg. Kuznetsov is trying to keep his angry face on. Mikhasevich misses with an uppercut. Kuznetsov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at UnderGround BJJ & MMA in the buildup to the fight. A head kick by Kuznetsov misses and Mikhasevich counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kuznetsov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looks like Konstantin Kuznetsov has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kuznetsov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oh Kuznetsov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mikhasevich throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kuznetsov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kuznetsov throws a head kick that misses. Kuznetsov misses with a body shot.
Kuznetsov lands with a kick to the temple. Mikhasevich shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kuznetsov seems to have got his legs back now. Mikhasevich throws a right hand that Kuznetsov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuznetsov also avoids with ease. Mikhasevich throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kuznetsov on the side of the head. A combination from Kuznetsov does no damage. Kuznetsov misses with the combination.

It looked like Kuznetsov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kuznetsov - that will leave a mark!
Mikhasevich's corner calls for a 1-2. Mikhasevich obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. We've been informed that Mikhasevich has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mikhasevich thows a left - swing and a miss! Kuznetsov lands a jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mikhasevich misses with a few strikes there.
