Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dreadlock Rasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasta comes to the cage accompanied by Buffalo Soldier. Black has chosen Sweet Child O'Mine as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dreadlock Rasta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Black!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black clobbers Rasta with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Black has a takedown stuffed.

Black scores a takedown into full mount!

Rasta defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Black.
Rasta is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Black with shots to the head and body - Rasta looks very uncomfortable down there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rasta wants to control but Black is having none of it.
Rasta can't escape the position.

Black is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rasta has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rasta!
Rasta wants to stand but Black has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Black swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rasta is now in Black's guard. A big mistake from Black there, giving up the dominant position!
Black not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Black looks gassed!

Rasta stands and steps away. Black gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Black throws a right and a left that Rasta avoids nicely.
Rasta moves away from the strike by Black.

Rasta gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rasta turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rasta manages to end up in side control.

Rasta decides to stand up, so the ref orders Black to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Rasta or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.
Black tries for a takedown but Rasta circles away easily
and Rasta counters with a head kick. That will keep Black thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Black.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Black decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rasta wants to clinch.
Black throws a leg kick which misses Rasta's front leg but catches the back leg as Rasta tries to avoid it.
Black has a takedown stuffed.
Dreadlock Rasta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Black.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Black keeps the fight on the outside.
Black takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Black looks to land a body kick but Rasta moved away.
No luck for Black with that takedown attempt.

Black gets caught flat footed, as Rasta shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rasta decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get!
Rasta wants to clinch up but Black keeps it at a distance.

Black shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Black lands with some strikes.
Black sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rasta really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Black has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rasta's face.
Black landing punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rasta is working to get back to half guard.
Black lands a big elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black tries to control but Rasta wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Black dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Black getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rasta's guard.
Rasta wants to stand up but Black is controlling him.
Black trying to control but Rasta is working from the bottom.

Rasta kicks Black off and gets to his feet.
Rasta is looking to clinch.
Rasta avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dreadlock Rasta is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Black drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rasta avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Black.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rasta keeps working.
Rasta looking for a sweep but Black has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Rasta can't escape the position.
Black tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Black is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rasta has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rasta!

Rasta stands up from Black's guard - Rasta perhaps looking for a knockout.

Black circles away from the clinch attempt.
Black swats away the attempt to clinch by Rasta.
Black lands a jab-cross combination.
Rasta has a takedown stuffed.
Black changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rasta tries to avoid it but Black manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rasta to the ground. Rasta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rasta fails with a takedown attempt.
Dreadlock Rasta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasta misses with a takedown attempt
and Black counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dreadlock Rasta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black shoots in looking for a takedown. Rasta tries to sprawl out of it but Black keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rasta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rasta pushes Black up against the cage in a clinch.
Rasta goes for a takedown attempt but Black pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Black shoots in and drives through. Rasta sprawls well.

Rasta moves into range and clinches up with Black.
Black tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rasta just stands there and leans against the cage.
Black is looking to break free of the clinch but Rasta has double underhooks.
Rasta stalling.
Rasta wants a takedown but no success here.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Rasta.

Rasta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Black cracks Rasta with an open hand slap.

Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rasta's guard.

Rasta wants to stand but Black is controlling the position.
Black content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Rasta is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rasta prevents the takedown attempt.
Rasta wants a takedown.
Black wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rasta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rasta tries for a takedown but Black circles away easily
and Black makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rasta avoids the head kick by Black.
Black scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Black swinging wilding here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Black showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Black gets a takedown into half guard.
Rasta is trying to stand up here but Black is controlling him well.
Black looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rasta with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Black is trying to control the action in half guard but Rasta is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rasta looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rasta is trying to control but Black manages to pass to mount!
Rasta tries to lock up and control but Black gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rasta really wants to buck Black off and get back to his feet.

Black looking to control and managing it successfully.
Black trying to control but Rasta is having none of it.
Black raining down shots from the mount!
Rasta is in all sorts of trouble here.
BOOM! Black connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rasta tries to lock up and control but Black gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rasta bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Rasta won't allow Black to sweep him here.
Rasta trying to stand up but can't free himself from Black's guard.

Black looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rasta has picked Black up and slammed him! Black can't keep hold of the triangle and Rasta manages to pass to side control!

Rasta decides to stand up, so the ref orders Black to his feet.
Black fails with the takedown.
Rasta looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Rasta persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing.
Black misses with a low kick as Rasta jumps back.
Rasta darts in trying to clinch
and Black counters with a stiff right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Black.
Rasta closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Rasta pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rasta fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rasta closes the distance but Black moves to the side

and Black counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rasta's guard now.
Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Black with a flurry of punches that miss.
Rasta is looking to stand up but Black isn't so interested in that idea.
Black trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rasta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rasta is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Black is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rasta wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Black postures up.
Black would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Black shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Black moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rasta with a poor takedown
and Black counters with a left and a right that stings Rasta.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dreadlock Rasta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Black decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rasta's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dreadlock Rasta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dean Black is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Black cracks Rasta with a solid left hand.

Dean Black comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Black winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
