Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Gerry Adamson (ranked 3050 p4p, 69 weight class) and Sapidum Pullum (ranked 3599 p4p, 78 weight class). Sapidum Pullum acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Gerry Adamson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Sapidum Pullum! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Pullum shoots for a takedown but Adamson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Adamson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pullum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adamson somewhat. Pullum gets the takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Adamson (0) vs (4) Pullum Pullum tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pullum looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Adamson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pullum wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adamson, who protects the arm well. Pullum tries to move into full mount but can't pass Adamson's legs. Adamson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Score +2 for reaching mount: Adamson (0) vs (6) Pullum Pullum is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adamson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adamson shrugs it off. Pullum takes Adamson's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Adamson is in trouble. Score +3 for taking back: Adamson (0) vs (9) Pullum
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pullum patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Pullum is persistently looking for the submission but Adamson is defending it well.
