Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Animal Baldwin (ranked 24758 p4p, 474 weight class) and Gumby Lane (ranked 6068 p4p, 433 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Animal Baldwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gumby Lane! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lane tests Baldwin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Baldwin slips under a jab. Lane lands with a nice body punch. Lane misses with a hook. Baldwin ducked under it nicely. Baldwin closes the distance and clinches up with Lane, looking for a takedown. Baldwin pushes Lane against the cage but Lane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Baldwin fails to land the takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Lane. Baldwin does a little dance to reset his feet. A head kick misses from Lane. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baldwin drives through with a takedown into guard. Lane keeping moving, preventing Baldwin from controlling successfully. Baldwin prevents Lane from getting back to his feet. We've been hearing that Baldwin has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Lane is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Baldwin misses with a takedown attempt - Lane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Animal Baldwin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lane throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Baldwin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Baldwin shoots in but Lane avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lane tries to score with a low kick but Baldwin moves his leg out of the way. Baldwin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lane. Baldwin is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lane. Good standup being displayed there by Lane as he connects with a hook. Lane misses with a shot to the body and Baldwin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lane is fighting off a takedown attempt but Baldwin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lane to the mat. Lane regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Lane is looking to stand up but Baldwin isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lane wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Baldwin manages to pass to side control. Lane wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Baldwin is trying to control the action in half guard but Lane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lane scores with a hook. Lane misses with a wild combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lane jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've been informed that Lane has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Lane scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gumby Lane dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Baldwin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Lane is trying to push Baldwin away but Baldwin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Baldwin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lane is looking to stand back up but Baldwin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lane. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lane can do anything to dispel that myth. Lane is trying to escape back to his feet but Baldwin uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Baldwin is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Lane lands a head shot. Jab by Lane.

Lane is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Baldwin ducks under a wild hook from Lane. Lane paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Baldwin walks into a stiff left hand from Lane. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lane misses with a two punch combination.
Lane might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Lane throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Baldwin is looking to counter the offense by Lane and move into the clinch. Lane throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Baldwin appears to be looking for a counter takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gumby Lane will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baldwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lane circles away. Gumby Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circling - Lane throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Lane looks to move away, Baldwin throws a big counter combo but Lane just gets out of the way. Gumby Lane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lane throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Baldwin appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Baldwin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lane lunges at Baldwin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Baldwin's hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lane misses with a combination
and Baldwin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gumby Lane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lane is trying to push Baldwin away but Baldwin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lane is trying to break free. Animal Baldwin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Baldwin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gumby Lane. I've got Lane winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
