Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Abbot (ranked 5958 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Taylor (ranked 4614 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Abbot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Taylor! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbot throws a half hearted mid kick. Abbot tries to land a body kick and Taylor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Taylor trying to pass the guard but Abbot defending well. Taylor missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Taylor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Abbot is defending against the submission attempts here by Taylor.
Taylor is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Abbot still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Abbot has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Taylor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Abbot's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbot is controlling the pace.
Abbot prevents Taylor from improving his position. Taylor is trying is best to control the position here. Taylor trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Taylor wants to sweep but no luck. Taylor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Abbot controls the pace. Abbot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground. Taylor looking to control.
Abbot tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard. Taylor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abbot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abbot seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor managing to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Abbot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Abbot content to stall in guard here. Abbot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Abbot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Taylor pulls Abbot in close to his closed guard and prevents Abbot from doing any damage or advancing position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Taylor looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Taylor dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Abbot has managed to clinch.
Abbot lands a knee to the head.
Taylor tries to pull guard but Abbot holds him up against the cage and eventually Taylor drops back down to his feet.
Abbot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Abbot fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Taylor, pushing him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abbot displaying some good clinch control by pressing Taylor up against the cage. Abbot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor slips a jab and a cross from Abbot.
Taylor feints the counter takedown. Abbot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Taylor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Abbot defends it well. Excellent takedown into side control there by Abbot. Taylor defending against the ground and pound. Taylor is trying to control Abbot's posture but Abbot avoids it. Taylor gets back to half guard. Taylor looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abbot seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Taylor wants to get back to full guard. Abbot stands up out of the half guard. Abbot closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Abbot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Abbot tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abbot swinging wildly here.
Abbot is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Taylor gets tackled into the cage by Abbot. Abbot maintains the clinch. Taylor tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Abbot just stands there and leans against the cage. Taylor jumps guard but Abbot stands there with Taylor around his waist. Taylor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Chuck Abbot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albert Taylor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Taylor is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Abbot is defending well. Taylor tries to pull guard but Abbot won't allow it.
Abbot pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Abbot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Taylor can do to turn this around? Danga de danga de dang - Abbot scores with a four punch combination! Abbot has closed the distance and engaged Taylor in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taylor fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Chuck Abbot dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Abbot doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylor circles away.
Chuck Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor tries to sprawl but Abbot drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Taylor manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Taylor trying to keep a closed guard but Abbot is proving a slippery customer.
Taylor lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Taylor is pushing down on Abbot's leg trying to pass to half guard. Abbot is fighting to maintain full guard but Taylor has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Abbot sees it coming and defends easily. Abbot is trying to get back to full guard. Taylor is working for a kimura but Abbot is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Abbot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Taylor misses with a head shot. Abbot uses the momentum to regain guard. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Abbot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chuck Abbot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Taylor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Taylor has gone for a leg lock! Abbot slips out almost immediately though and dives into Taylor's guard. Abbot tries to stand but Taylor is controlling from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Taylor is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor throwing strikes but missing. Taylor trying to control but Abbot is working from the bottom. Abbot is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Taylor advances position into side control! Taylor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taylor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Taylor fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries for a kimura but Abbot is defending well. Taylor working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Taylor trying to control the action but Abbot is working from the bottom. Taylor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taylor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Taylor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Abbot, who protects the arm well.
And that's the end of the fight! Albert Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Taylor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
