Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruno Irribertta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wes Barton! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irribertta gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Barton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Barton is trying to get back to half guard. A lull in the action here as Irribertta stalls from top position. Barton can't do much from the bottom here. Irribertta controlling the position from side mount. Irribertta wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barton, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Irribertta throwing strikes here but Barton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Barton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Irribertta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barton really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
