Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between EA Poe (ranked 3234 p4p, 333 weight class) and Arlo Rochester (ranked 4399 p4p, 399 weight class). Poe comes to the ring accompanied by Unleashing The Bloodthirsty by Cannibal Corpse. Rochester has chosen Voodoo Child- Jimi Hendrix as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 6 losses; EA Poe! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Arlo Rochester! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Poe scores with a takedown into Rochester's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Poe (2) vs (0) Rochester Rochester looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Poe looking to sit in guard and control but Rochester gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Poe (2) vs (2) Rochester Poe wants to sweep but no luck. Rochester wants to control from the top but Poe keeps moving. Rochester stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poe swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rochester is still trying to improve position. Poe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Poe keeping moving, preventing Rochester from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poe has control of Rochester's left arm, preventing Rochester from doing any damage. Rochester looking to pass the guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Poe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rochester gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Poe lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Poe (4) vs (2) Rochester Poe trying to control the position from guard on top but Rochester is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rochester working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rochester keeping full guard, as Poe tries to pass. Poe content to stall in guard here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rochester is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poe defends well. Poe advances position into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Poe (7) vs (2) Rochester Poe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rochester knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rochester is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Poe off and has taken his back! Rochester is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rochester had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poe defends it easily. Poe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Rochester keeping moving, preventing Poe from controlling successfully. Poe controls from within his opponent's guard. Poe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rochester dives on top into guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Poe (9) vs (8) Rochester Rochester is posturing up here but Poe has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rochester tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rochester has to tap! Slick submission there by Poe!
