Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Domonic Dilbrandt (ranked 541 p4p, 33 weight class) and Rodrigo De Lima (ranked 1828 p4p, 112 weight class). Dilbrandt comes to the cage accompanied by The Champ is Here. De Lima has chosen Linkin Park - Numb as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Domonic Dilbrandt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo De Lima!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Lima blocks a jab.
De Lima misses with a double jab
and Dilbrandt counters with a slapping leg kick.
De Lima lands the left hand.
Dilbrandt misses with a jab to the body
enabling De Lima to counter with a crisp jab.
Dilbrandt lands a head shot.
Dilbrandt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
De Lima unleashes a big counter combination but Dilbrandt bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Dilbrandt is looking to land body kicks.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Lima! But no joy.
Nice defenses there by De Lima.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Lima fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dilbrandt leaves De Lima with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Dilbrandt.

Dilbrandt connects with an inside leg kick.
Dilbrandt fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and De Lima has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
De Lima lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
De Lima misses with a two punch combination.
A jab from Dilbrandt misses.
Dilbrandt throws a head kick that half lands.
Dilbrandt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Dilbrandt moves out of range of the strikes.
Dilbrandt slips a straight right by De Lima.
De Lima tries to clinch there but Dilbrandt circles away.
A low kick from Dilbrandt is predictable there
and De Lima counters with a stiff right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dilbrandt lands a nice leg kick that just misses De Lima's sensitive parts.
De Lima misses with a jab to the body
and Dilbrandt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Lima has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dilbrandt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De Lima was well out of range. Poor timing from Dilbrandt.
De Lima misses with a wild combination.
Dilbrandt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and De Lima counters with a straight right hand.
Dilbrandt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
De Lima misses with a body shot
and Dilbrandt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dilbrandt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from De Lima.
De Lima will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Lima dives in for a single leg takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dilbrandt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dilbrandt throws a hook to the side of De Lima's head but De Lima sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
De Lima drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dilbrandt defends it well.
Dilbrandt misses with a wild body shot.
De Lima tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Dilbrandt lands with an uppercut that bounces De Lima off the cage and back into range.
Dilbrandt swings away with a body shot that misses
and De Lima counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
De Lima tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nice uppercut lands for Dilbrandt. That snapped De Lima's head back.
A big left from Dilbrandt misses.
Dilbrandt swats away the attempt to clinch by De Lima.
Dilbrandt appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Domonic Dilbrandt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
De Lima fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Domonic Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo De Lima.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dilbrandt misses with a head kick.
De Lima fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
De Lima moves out of range as Dilbrandt strikes.
Dilbrandt swings widly with a right hand
and De Lima counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dilbrandt throws a leg kick
and De Lima counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dilbrandt cracks De Lima with a right hand to the side of the head.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dilbrandt.
De Lima is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dilbrandt had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Dilbrandt is looking to land body kicks.
Nice takedown defense from Dilbrandt. No joy for De Lima on that attempt.
De Lima moves forwards but Dilbrandt connects with a nice, crisp jab.


De Lima is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Domonic Dilbrandt dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dilbrandt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
De Lima is still on wobbly legs! Can Dilbrandt finish him?
Dilbrandt closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks De Lima out cold! De Lima corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Domonic Dilbrandt!
