Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miles McDavis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Steve!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDavis tries to close the distance and clinch but Steve swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steve closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steve lands in his opponent's guard.
McDavis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Steve has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McDavis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steve gets to his feet - McDavis follows without any prompting.
Steve shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Steve was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Steve cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
McDavis is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Steve! McDavis is hurt baaadly! Steve is firing away with more strikes - McDavis is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Big Steve!
