The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dessai misses with a leg kick.
Dessai tries a head kick but it misses.
Scott Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dessai connects with a high kick.
Dessai throws a leg kick but Scott Jr sees it coming and moves out of range.

Dessai tries to sprawl but Scott Jr drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Scott Jr in particular looking to stall.
