The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zoid throws an overhand right that lands on Kovingten's shoulder, as Kovingten tries to avoid the shot.
Zoid lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Zoid tries to move into range but Kovingten moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Zoid closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Zoid swings for the body but Kovingten moves out of range.
Zoid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kovingten lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zoid has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zoid and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Kyle Kovingten will probably get the nod.

Good leg kick by Kovingten there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kovingten looks low and kicks high, catching Zoid right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

Kovingten cracks Zoid with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Zoid is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Zoid is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Zoid could not beat the count!

Kyle Kovingten was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
