The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielsen misses with a head kick.
Hirigushi tests Nielsen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hirigushi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nielsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Hirigushi.
Nielsen lands a jab.
Nielsen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hirigushi manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hirigushi. Nielsen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hirigushi looks to throw the jab but Nielsen is out of range.
Nielsen misses with an uppercut. Hirigushi saw that one coming.
Nielsen tries a head kick but it misses.
Hirigushi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hirigushi cracks Nielsen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hirigushi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Nielsen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kendo Hirigushi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hirigushi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nielsen sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Nielsen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

As Nielsen tries to get set, Hirigushi tries to push him back and clinch up but Nielsen manages to avoid the attempt.
Hirigushi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nielsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hirigushi is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Nielsen.

Nielsen catches Hirigushi napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Hirigushi to the canvas!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hirigushi wants to stand but Nielsen is controlling the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nielsen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hirigushi seems to have got his legs back now.
Nielsen wants to control from the top but Hirigushi keeps moving.
Nielsen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hirigushi's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Kendo Hirigushi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nielsen working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Kendo Hirigushi dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Nielsen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hirigushi wants to clinch up but Nielsen keeps it at a distance.
Hirigushi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nielsen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hirigushi's head backwards.
Nielsen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Nielsen throws a powerful right kick. Hirigushi tried to block low but the kick was high! Hirigushi was taken right off of his feet! Nielsen jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
