PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koichi Kamei (ranked 447 p4p, 56 weight class) and Katu Partio (ranked 357 p4p, 44 weight class). Partio has chosen Sininen sunnuntai as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kamei crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Partio - the referee stops the clock and Kamei gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Partio. Kamei manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Partio working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Koichi Kamei.
