Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Petrov (ranked 3294 p4p, 288 weight class) and Tyron Lee Davis Jr (ranked 3890 p4p, 335 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by They want too see me fall. The key to victory for Fedor Petrov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov tries to clinch up but Davis Jr circles away and keeps his distance.
Davis Jr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Petrov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Davis Jr sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Petrov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis Jr is looking to pass into half guard but Petrov pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Petrov is in guard.
Davis Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Davis Jr throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Davis Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
Davis Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Petrov is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Davis Jr might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Let's hope that Davis Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Davis Jr tries to advance to mount but Petrov denies him.
Petrov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davis Jr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Davis Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Petrov gets double underhooks and turns Davis Jr into the cage.
Petrov jabs Davis Jr right on the nose. Davis Jr blinks but takes it well.

Petrov gets caught flat footed, as Davis Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Petrov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Davis Jr is now in half guard.
Davis Jr perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Davis Jr darts in and clinches Petrov up against the cage.
Davis Jr turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Davis Jr manages to end up in side control.
Petrov tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Petrov breaks Davis Jr's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis Jr wants to get back to his feet but Petrov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Davis Jr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Davis Jr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Davis Jr!
Davis Jr is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Davis Jr's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Petrov struggling a bit here.
Petrov is trying to escape the position but Davis Jr is controlling the position.

Petrov tries to escape but Davis Jr is in control.
Davis Jr in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Davis Jr is continuing to stall.
Davis Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Petrov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Davis Jr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Davis Jr.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Petrov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Davis Jr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Petrov to the mat. Petrov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Petrov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Davis Jr is aware though and is defending well.
Davis Jr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Davis Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Petrov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis Jr circles away quickly and effectively.

Petrov jabs Davis Jr to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fedor Petrov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Petrov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Petrov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fedor Petrov is winning the standup battle so far.
Petrov lands a left and a right that send Davis Jr crashing to the mat, dazed. Petrov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Petrov moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Davis Jr! Petrov continues to tee off on Davis Jr, landing with a left and a right! Petrov connects with a right hand that leaves Davis Jr sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Petrov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Fedor Petrov!
A relieved looking Fedor Petrov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
