Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tourney Guy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, O Chen Purjalsta! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as Guy blocks the leg kick.
Guy lands a slapping body shot.
Guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Purjalsta moves out of range as Guy strikes. Guy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Purjalsta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guy is not content to let Purjalsta control the position. Purjalsta creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Guy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Guy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guy tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy defending against the ground and pound. Guy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Guy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Purjalsta on the ground. Guy prevents Purjalsta from improving position. Guy tries to escape but Purjalsta is in control. Purjalsta lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Guy down.
Guy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Purjalsta connects with a decent elbow. Purjalsta is looking to take a break and control but Guy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Guy wants to get back to his feet but Purjalsta drags him back down.

Purjalsta working the body and head with strikes. Purjalsta working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Purjalsta is putting a hurting on Guy here, landing some big shots from side control. Purjalsta grinds an elbow into Guy's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Purjalsta working the ground and pound. Purjalsta misses with an attempted head punch from side control. A lull in the action here. Purjalsta looks up at the clock and then as Guy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Purjalsta smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Purjalsta scoring with punches from side control. Guy taking a bit of punishment here - Purjalsta scoring with strikes. Purjalsta controls the position from side control. Purjalsta scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Guy to see if he's OK. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Purjalsta trying to control the action but Guy is working from the bottom. Guy is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
O Chen Purjalsta dominated that round. That's time! Guy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Purjalsta misses with a wild body shot. O Chen Purjalsta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Purjalsta goes for a double leg but Guy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Guy continues to drive forward. Guy tries to counter by clinching up but Purjalsta breaks away and moves out of range. Guy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Purjalsta moves away. Purjalsta let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Guy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Purjalsta. Purjalsta shoots for a double leg takedown but Guy sprawls well. He's pushed Purjalsta's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Purjalsta throws a leg kick but Guy checks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guy tries to clinch up. Guy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Purjalsta looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tourney Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of O Chen Purjalsta. A swing and a miss from Purjalsta. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Guy tries to bum rush Purjalsta with a series of wild strikes but Purjalsta uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Guy instigates a clinch. Guy lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short right from Guy. Nice body punch from Guy. Purjalsta tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Guy's elbow. Purjalsta drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy lands a hook that snaps the head of Purjalsta backwards. Guy lands an uppercut. A nice right hand lands inside from Guy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Purjalsta tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Purjalsta doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Guy softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Purjalsta is trying to drag Guy to the mat but Guy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Guy pushes Purjalsta back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Purjalsta has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Guy after a bit of a struggle. A short right from Guy. Purjalsta is breathing heavily. A short uppercut from Guy. Guy scores with an uppercut up the middle. Guy lands a shoulder strike. Guy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Purjalsta is rocked! Guy lands a left hand that snaps the head of Purjalsta backwards. Purjalsta is still on wobbly legs! Can Guy finish him? Purjalsta doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Guy creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Purjalsta's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Purjalsta drops to his knees and Guy pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tourney Guy!
