Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Suman Giovanni (ranked 4988 p4p, 101 weight class) and Jonathon Harel (ranked 4984 p4p, 108 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Harel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Giovanni scores with a three punch combo!
Harel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harel controls the position.
Giovanni can't do much from the bottom here.

Harel swings around for an armbar but Giovanni sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Harel's guard.

Harel wants to hit a switch here but Giovanni passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Harel there!
Giovanni throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Harel because Giovanni loaded up on that one.
Giovanni has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harel's face.

Harel is in a bad position with Giovanni working for a choke. Harel manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Giovanni wants to stand up but Harel is controlling him.
Harel wants to stand and escape but instead Giovanni has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Harel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giovanni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harel tries to close the distance and clinch but Giovanni swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Harel is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Giovanni's half guard.
Giovanni is not content to let Harel control the position.
Giovanni might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Harel wants to stand but Giovanni has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harel is taking a breather. Giovanni says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Harel is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Giovanni reverses the position - he's now on top in Harel's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harel enables Giovanni to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harel reaches up and pulls Giovanni towards him, trying to control the position. Giovanni manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Harel! Harel tries to roll over - now Giovanni is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Harel has to tap out! Great work there by Giovanni!
