The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerfeldt shoots in and drives through. Slashensmash sprawls well.

Slashensmash shoots in and bounces Akerfeldt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Akerfeldt has his foot on Slashensmash's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slashensmash works his way back into a safe position though.

Slashensmash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akerfeldt pinned against the cage. Akerfeldt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Akerfeldt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Slashensmash has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Slashensmash and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Slashensmash changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Akerfeldt shoots in but Slashensmash avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slashensmash drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Akerfeldt defends it well.

and Slashensmash counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Akerfeldt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slashensmash is one step ahead there.

Slashensmash controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Slashensmash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akerfeldt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slashensmash tries to free his leg and advance position but Akerfeldt is retaining full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Slashensmash misses with a takedown attempt - Akerfeldt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Akerfeldt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Akerfeldt feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Slashensmash crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
