Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blanco Domingues! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wulfgar Beornegar! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Domingues lands but Beornegar takes it in his stride. Domingues throws a head kick that misses. Beornegar lands a slapping body shot.
Domingues throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beornegar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Domingues quickly recovers to half guard. Domingues wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Beornegar seems content to control. It looks like Beornegar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Beornegar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Domingues slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Beornegar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Domingues is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Beornegar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Domingues swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beornegar works a leg free and moves into half guard. Beornegar trying to mount his opponent but Domingues defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Domingues looking for submissions off his back. Beornegar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Domingues taking some punishment here, with Beornegar in his half guard. Domingues looking for submissions off his back. Domingues looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Beornegar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beornegar maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Domingues could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Beornegar has cracked it and Domingues is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Beornegar!
